Suralai’s chef is highly skilled in the preparation of delicious, authentic Thai cuisine as well as many international cuisines. Guest requests are accommodated as far as possible, including special diets and children’s menus.
Food and beverages for your stay can be ordered ahead of time through the villa manager, or discussed upon arrival. The villa manager and chef are there to make recommendations on menus, locations for meals and ensure the wine cooler and refrigerator are always well stocked with drinks.
The day starts with a complimentary buffet breakfast served in the main dining area or on the terrace. Exotic fruits, fresh breads and pastries, cereals and such are complemented by freshly prepared hot dishes made to order by the chef.
For a lazy pool-side lunch in the sala, chef might prepare Thai favourites such as phad thai (Thai noodles), satay, yum woon sen (glass noodle salad) or som tam (green papaya salad) accompanied by a light coconut curry, or if you prefer, Western dishes such as salads, pastas, pizzas, grills.
At cocktail time, chef can prepare delicious local appetisers such as Thai spring rolls or miang kham (prawn betel leaf wraps) to nibble on as you enjoy a drink around the bar before sitting down to a superb dinner, or perhaps a casual barbecue on the terrace.
Staff will take care of shopping for all food and beverages, which are charged at market price (plus a 30% handling fee, rates before 10% service charge and 7% VAT) and with a minimum shopping fee of THB 750. Alternatively, a priced menu of various dishes is available.
